Heroin use is rising dramatically in Minnesota. Our team is working with the Minnesota Department of Human Services to produce Heroin at Home, a two-part documentary series and a town hall forum focusing on the rise and response to heroin use in Minnesota.
The two-part documentary premieres Tuesday, June 11 at 8 p.m. on tpt 2 and will look at the recent rash of the deadly drug and its relationship to the rise in marketing, use and abuse of opiate-based prescription painkillers.
The town hall forum, Heroin at Home: A Community Discussion, will be broadcast live from tpt’s Studio A on Tuesday, June 18 at 8 p.m. This hour-long program will examine many of the issues raised in the documentaries with key decision makers from recovery, policy and Minnesota law enforcement agencies.
