Living Beyond Cancer Awards
Facing Cancer: Living Inspirations
“Cancer is a word, not a sentence.“
– John Diamond
A diagnosis of cancer used to be a death sentence. Today it can be a chronic disease many Minnesotans live with. Some even thrive amidst their prognosis.
tpt is interested in hearing your suggestions and ideas. This is not a competition. There will be no prizes or trophies. Instead, a handful of Minnesotans will be given the opportunity to share their stories.
Please consider describing one or more people you feel may have an inspirational story by simply emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please let us know the name of the person you are suggesting and a brief statement explaining why we should tell their story. tpt will try to respond to all emails if possible and follow up further if we are interested in pursuing an individual’s story. This work will culminate in a collection of stories to be presented in a tpt broadcast currently scheduled for late March 2015 in association with the broadcast of Ken Burns’ latest series The Story of Cancer: Emperor of all Maladies.
Submit your entries by October 15, 2014.
